Dr Ngan received her BSocSc (Hons) (Sociology and Social Science and Policy) and PhD (Sociology) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Her major research interests are in the areas of transnationalism and migration, identity, gender, family, life course and Chinese diaspora. Currently, she is working on exploring the interrelated dynamics of migration, identity and parenting within the transnational life of return migrants in Hong Kong. The project is funded by RGC’s Faculty Development Scheme.
