With the theme “The Future of Liberal Arts Education in a Globalised Context”, the President Forum provides an excellent opportunity for academics, teachers, policy makers, employers, students, parents and the general public to learn more about the essence of modern liberal arts education as well as the role and future development of private liberal arts institutions in the region.

Professor Jeffrey S Lehman, Guest Speaker of the Forum, is the inaugural Vice Chancellor of NYU Shanghai, the first “Sino-American Joint University”. He has previously been Founding Dean of the Peking University School of Transnational Law, the eleventh President of Cornell University, the fifteenth Dean of the University of Michigan Law School, a tenured professor of law and public policy, a practising lawyer, and a law clerk to judges on the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the US Supreme Court.
