Welcoming Tour for HSUHK’s International and Mainland Students

10 January 2019

Twenty-four international exchange students and Mainland students of HSUHK joined a cultural tour arranged jointly by the Institute for Youth Sustainability Leadership of HSUHK (IYSL) and a social enterprise Walk In Hong Kong on 10 Jan 2019.

The cultural tour was divided into two parts. In the afternoon section “Hello, Hong Kong”, students visited historical spots in Central and Sheung Wan including Statue Square, St John’s Cathedral, former Police Married Quarters (PMQ) and Man Mo Temple. They also took a tram to view the scenery in Central and Sheung Wan. In the evening section “Good Evening, Kowloon”, the students explored the Wholesale Fruit Market in Yau Ma Tei. They enjoyed dim sum and Hong Kong style cuisine, and listened to Cantopop in a Singing Parlour. The tour ended with a visit to Temple Street.

This is the second cultural tour organised jointly by IYSL and Walk In Hong Kong , which was fully sponsored by IYSL. Student Affairs Office helped with liaison with the students. It is hoped that the exchange and Mainland students of HSUHK can better understand Hong Kong, and enjoy their stay in the city.
