HA Seminar – Sharing by Dr Allan Zeman on “Gear up for Our Post-Pandemic Future: Opportunities in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area”

16 February 2023

The Honours Academy (HA) was grateful to have one of the Honours Academy Professional Fellows, Dr Allan Zeman, GBM, GBS, JP, and the Chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Group, join us for our third HA Seminar Series on 16 February 2023. With the theme, “Gear up for Our Post-Pandemic Future: Opportunities in Hong Kong and Greater Bay Area”, the seminar brought 40 HA students and Academic Fellows together, to learn from Dr Zeman’s entrepreneurship as he shared his views and knowledge with the audience.

In addition to being a major property owner and developer in the city, Dr Zeman has always been greatly involved in government services and community activities, so it is an honour to have an entrepreneurial icon as such join the league of Professional Fellows in nurturing future leaders at the HA. This talk was hosted and facilitated by two of Dr Zeman’s HA mentees, Sunny Lee and Stephen Cheung.

Having lived in Hong Kong for over 50 years, Dr Zeman is happy and proud to say that Hong Kong is his home and strongly emphasised this message in his sharing. From his personal growth and entrepreneurship, to the establishment of an internationally-renowned listed company, Dr Zeman shared his wisdom on how to stay ahead of the curve in the face of adversity. He also encouraged future HA leaders to appreciate Hong Kong for its convenience, its sound judicial system, and most importantly, its irreplaceable position on the international arena. Dr Zeman also encouraged our HA students to seize the abundant opportunities in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

The Honours Academy spent a fruitful afternoon with Dr Allan Zeman, discussing a positive future in the post-pandemic era.
