Sponsorship to CTA (Certified Tax Advisor) Annual Conference 2014

TheTaxation Institute of Hong Kong (TIHK) organised itsfirst CTA Conference with a topic of “Tax Transparency – Are YouReady?” on November 28, 2014 at JW Marriot.

TIHKinvited various officials including Prof KC Chan as the Guest of Honour, BrianChiu of IRD and Wang Jianfan (Director General – Department of Tax Policy) ofMOF of the PRC as the speakers. Participants included members fromBig 4 professional services firm, small-medium practitioners and multinationalcorporations. 

As a means to promote the brand of HSMC amongstthe future employers of HSMC students, a donation of $10,000 was made to theconference. Dr Brossa Wong (DepartmentHead) and Ms Betty Kwok (Associate Head), together with 7 HSMC students fromBBA (Accounting), attended the conference on invitation.
