RTHK Management’s Visit to HSMC

An RTHK delegation of 7 management staff including Leonia Tai, Deputy Director of Broadcasting (Developments), Cheung Man-sun, Assistant Director of Broadcasting (Radio& Corporate Programming) and Forever W. Y. Sze, Assistant Director of Broadcasting, paid a visit to Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) on 6th August, 2012.

President Dr. Chui Hong-sheung, Provost Prof. Gilbert Fong and other senior management staff from HSMC gave the guests a warm reception and held a meeting with the delegation. Dr. Chui delivered a speech at the meeting. He said: “We have so far gained the approval for five plots of land from the government, and the Site A academic block will be completed with the library and lecture theatres in September.” “It can accommodate 1,400 students at the same time.” Dr. Chui added.

Mr. Ng Yiu-chung, Technical Officer of School of Communication gave a detailed introduction of the equipments in the TV production studio. After Mr. Ng’s presentation, both sides began a discussion on the cooperation opportunities. “HSMC is a tertiary institution of great potential. The Journalism and Communication, Translation with Business and Business Administration degree programmes that it provides are closely related to our business; thus we have many chances to cooperate.” said Mr. Cheung Man-sun. Ms. Leonia Tai also pointed out that it would be good news that the School of Communication fosters a large amount of talents for not only RTHK but also other media in the future. “RTHK is glad to be a platform for young people who are enthusiastic with the media industry.”

Accompanied by the project management team staff, the delegates then visited the Construction Site A and rounded off their two-hour visit to HSMC.
