The HSUHK has recently entered into a research collaboration agreement with the International Council for Philosophy and Human Sciences (CIPSH) to conduct research on ‘Cultural Production and Communication in the Digital Age’, specifically on the concept of ‘Neo-Cultural Creativity’. This research, which will receive funding in the form of a research grant of 80,000 Euros, will contribute to the larger CIPSH research project on Digital Humanities and Creativity.
Professor Desmond Hui, Head of the Department of Art and Design, and Professor Ping-chen Hsiung, Senior Research Fellow, will lead the project as the Co-Principal Investigators. During the period of strategic collaboration, CIPSH and HSUHK will invite each other to participate in major cultural or academic events hosted by the other party. The collaborating parties may also jointly host sub-forums with different themes in some of the CIPSH’s major academic events.
The CIPSH is a non-governmental organisation within UNESCO, which federates hundreds of different learned societies in the fields of philosophy, human sciences and related subjects, to favour the exchange of knowledge and bring to the fore the richness of each culture and their fruitful diversity.
