The Photographer

Dominic Chiu is a National Geographic award-winning photographer based in Hong Kong. Since graduating from the University of Hong Kong majoring in Economics and Finance, he has worked as a freelancer for publications and NGOs. He was the winner of the 2021 National Geographic Hong Kong Photo Contest, and was accepted into the 2022 New York Portfolio Review by the New York Times photo department. Currently he is working on a long-term project documenting stories of brain cancer patients in Hong Kong, hoping to uncover not only their struggles, but also their hope along a highly daunting path.

Dominic is a financial service professional. He is freelancing with the New York Times and various media. Work published includes BBC, National Geographic, The Guardian, Bloomberg, Forbes, etc.
