With support from the College, Schools and Departments, the Statistics Consultancy Unit (SCU) successfully held the Symposium on Statistical Consulting and Business Analytics (Inauguration Event for the Statistics Consultancy Unit) on 24 Nov 2016. President Simon S M Ho delivered the opening remark.

Four guest speakers were invited to deliver talks on various topics including: Prof Kin Lam, Professor Emeritus, Hong Kong Baptist University and Honorary Professor, The University of Hong Kong on “From Academic Consultation to Giving Advices on Investment”; Mr Kent Chu, Principal, C & C Corporation Ltd and Financial Adviser, IRIS Corporation Berhad on “Why Raising Money Using Quantitative Approach is Eminent in Debt Capital Markets?” ; Mr Nelson Yip MH, Chief Executive Officer, EP Venture Company Ltd on “Think Big, Think Analytics”; and Mr Benny Wong, Head of Insights and Analytics, International Markets, Cigna on “Data Analytics – A Right to Win”.
