Spring Sonata by Professor Vadim Mazo & Dr Cheng Wai

Arts at HSMC’s first classical musicconcert Spring Sonata took place on 14 April 2015 at theAuditorium.

Professor Vadim Mazo, world renownedviolinist and Associate Professor of Violin and Viola at Illinois WesleyanUniversity, together with Dr Cheng Wai, winner of the Hong Kong Young MusicPerformer Award of the International Year of Youth, brought tolife classical music masterpieces by Beethoven, Shostakovich andCesar Franck.  An introduction to classical music and themasterpieces was given by Professor Stephen D Press, Associate Professor ofMusic at Illinois Wesleyan University. The audience was simply fascinated by the impeccableperformance of the evening.
