24 and 26 April 2018

Arts at HSMC’s last event for the 2nd semester of 2017/18 was held on 24 and 26 Apr 2018 on G/F of S H Ho Academic Building.

Jazz Roaster (comprising Barry Lam [double bass player], Mark Leung [guitarist] and Felix Leung [drummer]) featuring Maggie Wong (vocalist) brought all-time favourites Take the A Train, Misty, My One and Only Love, Anthropology, Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars, and One Note Samba, etc. to two groovy afternoons before the exam period. The musicians injected a new spark of life into the timeless pieces with their improvisations. The audience enjoyed the music as well as Barry’s amusing brief of the style and story of each song.
