HSUHK strengthens global higher education ties with renowned UK universities

28 April 2026

HSUHK signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Durham University in the UK, paving the way for joint academic programmes, enhanced research collaboration, staff exchanges, and co-hosted international symposia and seminar series. Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), represented HSUHK in signing the MOU during his recent visit to the UK.

During his visit, Professor Mok joined the 11th Annual Centre for Global Higher Education (CGHE) Conference 2026, held at the University of Oxford and co-organised by HSUHK’s Graduate School, and delivered an invited speech highlighting Hong Kong’s position as a global talent and innovation hub. In addition, he gave a talk at the Institution of Education, University College London, on Hong Kong’s vision to become an international higher education hub.

Professor Mok held in-depth discussions with academics at King’s College London on enhancing the student experience and fostering cross-border research partnerships, and explored opportunities for collaboration in teaching and research with senior academic leaders at the University of Glasgow.
