In the 2026 Top Universities and Top Scientists Rankings published by international academic platform Research.com, HSUHK ranked 22nd in Social Sciences and Humanities, and 23rd in both Business and Management and Economics and Finance, among China’s leading universities.

Several faculty members also achieved significant individual recognition, ranking among the top 100 scientists in China in their respective specialties: Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), ranked 34th in Social Sciences and Humanities; Professor David Tse, Chair Professor in the Department of Marketing, ranked 56th in Business and Management; Professor Roman Matousek, Head of the Department of Economics and Finance, ranked 68th in Economics and Finance; and Professor Louis Cheng, Dr S H Ho Professor of Banking and Finance, ranked 96th in Economics and Finance.
