Honours Academy’s parent-child workshop boosts intergenerational financial learning

18 April 2026

The Honours Academy (HA), in collaboration with the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) Community Creativity Learning Centre, concluded its sixth Youth Financial Literacy Workshop Series on 18 April 2026.

Thirty parents and 30 pre-teens joined separate yet complementary workshops to foster intergenerational financial discussions at home.

HA student leaders designed and facilitated the sessions, bridging university learning with community impact. The youth workshop, “HA x BGCA: Today’s Treasure Hunters; Tomorrow’s Future Wealth Leaders”, featured interactive game booths and a life-stage simulation board game. Running in parallel, the parent workshop “Seeds of Wealth: Financial Literacy Workshop for Parents 2026” used interactive theatre, discussions, and a student-designed financial journal to support continued learning beyond the workshop.

The event formed part of HA’s participation in Hong Kong Money Month 2026 and Global Money Week 2026, in partnership with the Investor and Financial Education Council.
