HSMC Residential Colleges Organised Residents Welcoming Party

1 September 2018

HSMC Jockey Club Residential Colleges (RCs) made the students feel at home by hosting the first ever residents welcoming party on the move-in day on 1 Sep 2018. Some 200 teachers and students attended.

Through ice-breaking games and quiz challenges, the residents made acquaintance with their peers, and learned how to make their stay homey and enriching.

Dr Tom Fong, Vice-President (Organisational Development), invited the residents to cultivate a meaningful stay at the RCs by fulfilling “1-1-1-2”*. The four RC Management Teams, together with representatives from Student Residents’ Associations, welcomed all residents, introduced each RC and gave the residents an overture for activities ahead.

Soon after signing off their move-in documents, the residents embarked on their enriching journey at HSMC.

* ”1-1-1-2” stands for: 1 college affiliation, 1 High Table Dinner, 1 Meaningful Interaction with RC Management Team and Fellows, and 2 RC Programmes.
