8 June 2017

Organised by the Career Planning & Development team of Student Affairs Office (SAO), HSMC Global Internship Programme has entered its 4th year this summer and continues to connect HSMC students with overseas internship opportunities.

This year, the programme has placed over 70 HSMC students with internships across the globe. The internship locations cover 25 cities in 18 countries, including Australia, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UK, USA, etc. Many students will work as an intern in public organisations and multinational corporations such as Bank of China (Sydney, Tokyo and Frankfurt Branches), KPMG (Singapore), Pacific BMW (Los Angeles), Hong Kong Trade Development Council (Tokyo, Osaka and Jakarta), Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Singapore and Tokyo), etc.

In late Apr and May 2017, a series of training sessions was organised by the career team of SAO to well prepare our students for a global internship before their departure. Dr Tom Fong, Acting Vice-President (Organisational Development), was invited to deliver a motivational speech to the interns at the last session. All interns were looking forward to the rewarding experience they would gain from the internship trip.

We wish them a safe and fruitful internship this summer!
