16 March is the Founders’ Day of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong. On this special occasion, President Simon S M Ho will be with us at the “President’s Chatroom” again to share and interact with the audience on life planning and financial management, a universal subject for every one of us. In recent years, we have been facing rapid and uncertain changes such as the social incidents, pandemic, financial crisis, and hi-tech development. President Ho, a management-savvy; and Alumnus Mr Alaric Chu, General Manager-Program and Channel Operations of Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited and experienced host of radio financial programmes, will share at the Chatroom how to plan your life, manage personal finance, create tangible and intangible “wealth” at different stages of life, thus inspiring you to plan ahead about your personal growth. We welcome questions and an exchange of views with President Ho and alumnus Mr Chu.
To celebrate the Founders’ Day, the “2022 Founders’ Day President’s Chatroom” will present you with a number of gifts, including:
– Winning an iPad donated by our alumnus
– Answering quiz questions correctly to receive an autographed book from President Ho
– (Early bird registration) The first 30 registrants will receive a bottle of “NDF-Bio 75 Antimicrobial Surface Protectant” donated by our alumnus

Professor Simon S M Ho
• President of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong
• Commonwealth Scholar
• Certified public accountant in the UK, Australia and Canada
• Chairman of the Citizens Advisory Committee on Community Relations and Member of the Advisory Committee on Corruption, Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption
• Chairman of the Hong Kong Corporate Governance Forum, Council Member of the China Higher Education Association and other roles in public services
• The first Chinese awarded the Faculty Pioneer Award—described as Oscar of the business school world by the Financial Times—by the Aspen Institute, USA in 2008.
• Elected as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics 2008 by Ethisphere, one of the world’s most recognised bodies in business ethics and anti-corruption.
• Granted the Chinese Family Business Research Pioneer Award by the China Private Enterprise Economic Research Association, China in 2013, in recognition of his distinguished contribution to the CSR of Chinese family businesses

• General Manager-Program and Channel Operations of Metro Broadcast Corporation Limited
• Over 25 years in the media industry, from traditional media to new media, from editorial to planning and management, with rich experience in hosting financial programmes and large-scale economic forums, as well as integrating content and business transformation
• Hosting a variety of online and on-air programmes:《即市博擊》,《有數有據》,《數碼新「錢」途》,《粵港財金縱橫》,《投資．測．算師》、《筆請字來》, etc.
• Participated in the planning of major programmes: Hong Kong Leaders’ Choice, Economic Summit, Hong Kong-ASEAN Summit, The RMB Business Outstanding Awards, 灣區可持續發展頒獎禮, Annual Forum of the Hong Kong Offshore RMB Business, etc.
