2017 Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Convergent Media and Communication Technology (BA-CMCT) Advisory Committee and External Examiner Meeting was held on 3 Jun 2017. Dean Scarlet Tso of the School of Communication welcomed all Advisors and External Examiner, and extended appreciations to their support for the BA-CMCT Programme.
Starting from the academic year 2016/17, the Committee was composed of six experienced professors and media professionals including Dr Stanley Chan, Associate Professor of Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong; Professor So Hing Cheung, Professor of Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong; Dr Sobel Chan, Senior Lecturer of Academy of Film, Hong Kong Baptist University; Ms Wong Kam Fung, Head of Chinese News and Current Affairs, Radio Television Hong Kong; Mr Alan Lo, Publisher and Chief Editor of AM730 Media Limited and Mr Earnest Li, Founder of Newzpire Limited.
Apart from summarising the activities organised and students’ performances, Professor Trevor Siu, BA-CMCT Programme Director, shared the current status of the BA-CMCT Programme with Advisors and External Examiner. They discussed essential knowledge and skills for meeting the local needs. Also, they shared the prospects of local employment and the connections with the industry, which were beneficial to the development of the Programme.
After the meeting, Professors of the School of Communication together with Advisors and External Examiner enjoyed a causal lunch in the Regal Terrace.
