The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) has earned 7th place in the Greater China region and 37th in East Asia in the recent AppliedHE’s ALL ASIA Private University Ranking 2026. Notably, HSUHK is the only private university from Hong Kong featured in this pan-Asian ranking.

Unlike conventional rankings that amalgamate public and private universities, the AppliedHE Private University Ranking offers a unique and dedicated perspective on private universities’ strengths and distinctive contributions.

Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), commented: “This achievement strongly affirms our commitment to becoming a leading private university in the region, delivering outstanding education and impactful research.
