To monitor and evaluate the progress of research projects funded by the Research Grants Council (RGC), members of the RGC Monitoring and Assessment Panel (the Panel) has been paying regular visits to the HSUHK since 2017. In view of the pandemic, the visit was conducted via Zoom this year.
The visit comprised two parts. In the first part, the Panel members met with the core members and students involved in a CRG* project entitled “Development of Renewable Energy for Decarbonising and Modelling Sustainable Transport and Logistics Operations in Smart Cities of the Greater Bay Area”. The Panel members were happy to see the good progress made and the active involvement of students and the industry in the project. The project team was encouraged to keep the momentum in sharing the research findings with a wider range of audiences via workshops and seminars. In the second part of the visit, the Panel members listened to the presentations made by the Principal Investigators (PIs) on their FDS*/ IIDS* projects. The Panel members appreciated the PIs’ hard work and gave their views on individual projects.
RGC will consolidate their observations and recommendations and furnish us with a report for consideration by early July.
