On 11 October 2022, HSUHK received Ms Alenka Suhadolnik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia to the People’s Republic of China, and Mr Bernard Lau, Former Honorary Consul of the Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia in Hong Kong, to HSUHK for a visit.
Professor Hon S Chan, Acting President and Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience), delivered a welcome speech, in which he expressed his joy over the long-standing friendship between the delegates of Slovenia and HSUHK, and his appreciation for the shared vision of realising environmental sustainability in particular. Ms Suhadolnik emphasised the importance of the work related to SDGs (sustainable development goals), and responded positively to collaborative opportunities between Slovenian institutions and HSUHK. The visit concluded with a campus tour.
