The Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), Academic Staff Development Committee (ASDC) and Deep Learning Research and Application Centre jointly organised a seminar on Deep Learning on 23 May 2017.

Professor Francis Chin, Director of the Deep Learning Research and Application Centre and Head of Department of Computing, shared with the audience the topic “What is Deep Learning and why it matters?”. Professor Chin explained how computers learn and the recent breakthroughs in Deep Learning which affect many aspects of our life.

Participants found the seminar informative and useful and were keen to raise questions to learn more about Deep Learning.
