Product Carbon Footprint Workshop I

21 January 2017

A Product Carbon Footprint Workshop I – Principles, Practices and International Standards on Product Carbon Footprint and Life Cycle Assessment was carried out in Hang Seng Management College on 21 January 2017 (Saturday). It was a half-day workshop organised by the Department of Supply Chain and Information Management from a funding research project supported by the Research Grant Council fund. The project aims to develop a novel methodology for assessing the life-cycle carbon footprints of Hong Kong beverage products along the supply chain. A guest speaker, Mr Harold Hai, from TÜV Rheinland Hong Kong Limited, was invited to the workshop. The participants included members of the project teams from the final year students of Hang Seng Management College, representatives of the pilot companies, and members from Carbon Care Asia (CCA). The workshop was designed to increase the awareness of participants in the carbon reporting of ISO14067 and PAS2050 as well as to provide details of skills and methods involved in product footprint calculation.
