30 March 2026

The Student Affairs Office has obtained HK$3.4 million under the “HYAB Funding Scheme for Youth Internship in the Mainland”, organised by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the Youth Development Commission, to support internship programmes across Chinese Mainland cities for the 2025-26 academic year.

The programmes will offer 100 internship places in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xi’an and Yiwu, each lasting approximately 50 days. Internship programmes in Guangzhou and Xi’an have also received in-principle approval for three years of funding.

These initiatives enable students to experience Chinese Mainland’s workplace culture, acquire professional skills, build networks, and deepen their understanding of the nation’s latest developments. The programmes also enhance students’ cross-cultural competence and workplace adaptability, strengthening their future academic and career prospects.

The Xian and Guangzhou internship programmes receive in-principle approval for three years of funding.
