26 March 2024
HSUHK and the Guangzhou Human Resources Market Service Centre signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 26 March 2024 to foster employment and entrepreneurship opportunities for the youth of Guangzhou and Hong Kong. This initiative is designed to support and encourage students’ integration into the development of the Greater Bay Area.
The scope of the cooperation includes establishing a liaison system, regularly organising joint campus recruitment activities, facilitating corporate visits in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, and creating an internship and employment base in Guangzhou, specifically for HSUHK students. Additionally, the agreement supports young individuals from Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau to take part in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and utilising these events as a platform for the exchange of ideas.
Dr Tom Fong Wing-ho, Vice-President (Organisational Development) at HSUHK, stated “HSUHK is pleased to become the first Hong Kong higher education institution to sign an MoU with the Guangzhou Human Resources Market Service Centre. We are keen to see this collaboration bolster exchanges between the youth of Guangzhou and Hong Kong, particularly in the areas of employment and entrepreneurship, thereby nurturing talent for the development of the Greater Bay Area.”
