The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) and the Dailywin Institute of Dongguan University of Technology (DGUT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote training and other related services to help upgrade and excel the development of enterprises. The agreement includes a series of courses with leading academics as mentors, who will help corporate executives understand the policies of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA), as well as technology, the digitalisation of China, carbon neutrality, development of Artificial Intelligence applications, big data, analysis of the China economy, international relations, and other related topics. The collaboration also includes a youth leadership training and development programme which will cover popular science and understanding the GBA and Hong Kong.
The agreement was signed by Professor Simon S M Ho, President of HSUHK, and Mr Sidney Wong, Executive Director of Dailywin Institute of DGUT. The signing ceremony took place at the inauguration ceremony of the GBA CEO Club.
President Ho noted that the signing of this MoU marks a milestone in the joint development of HSUHK and Dailywin Institute of DGUT. Moving forward, both parties will leverage their strengths to enhance corporate executives’ understanding and insights on the development of Hong Kong and the GBA, and create a self-upgrading platform for talent.
A delegation from DGUT also visited HSUHK earlier to have a deeper understanding of its unique features, teaching and research focus areas, campus life and state-of-the-art facilities. In early 2024, President Ho will head a delegation to visit DGUT.
