On 28 March 2026, HSUHK’s Honours Academy co-organised a workshop on campus titled “The Path to Financial Literacy for Teenagers: Invest in Yourself, Steer Clear of Gambling” with The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong.
Led by Dr Bernard Luk, Associate Head of the Honours Academy and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management, the interactive workshop engaged secondary school students through games, discussions, and real-life examples. Participants learned how to recognise the psychological traps of gambling, critically analyse gambling promotions, and build foundational financial management skills, thereby fostering responsible decision-making habits.
The event encouraged direct dialogue between the University and the community, reinforcing the Honours Academy’s commitment to community engagement and youth empowerment by guiding young people to make informed financial choices and invest in themselves for their long‑term well‑being.
