On 28 November 2023, senior representatives from Beijing International Studies University (BISU) visited The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK). They were welcomed by Professor YV Hui, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research); Dr Tom Fong, Vice-President (Organisational Development); Professor Gilbert Fong, Dean of School of Translation and Foreign Languages (STFL); Dr Shelby Chan, Associate Dean of STFL; as well as faculty members from STFL

The guests including comprising Professor Li Zhen, Deputy Chairperson of the University Council of BISU, and representatives from the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, attended a meeting where both parties discussed how to strengthen the bond between the two institutions, with a focus on fostering academic collaborations and student exchange opportunities. After the meeting, STFL arranged a comprehensive campus tour of HSUHK for the guests.
