Led by President Dr Chang King-Yun, a delegation of seven members from the Taiwan’s Chinese Education, Culture and Economy Promotion Association, and the Hong Kong Cross-strait Hakka Research Center, visited HSUHK’s School of Communication (SCOM) on 8 June. On behalf of all staff and Professor Scarlet Tso, Dean of SCOM, Professor Ronald Chiu, Acting Dean of SCOM, extended a warm welcome to the delegation as he discussed the ongoing development of SCOM and the University.
Professor Chiu noted that SCOM provides unique interdisciplinary programmes which integrate training in the areas of journalism, corporate communications, business and communication technology alongside novel teaching equipment, enabling students to learn the latest trends and build their skill set so that can meet the needs of the market upon graduating. Accompanied by Professor Chiu, the delegation also visited the Film and Television Production Centre, Radio Recording Studio, Editing Room, Multimedia Training Centre and Broadcasting Training Centre of SCOM and observed the novel equipment and facilities across the School that helps its students learn.
All guests including Dr Chang King-Yun and Ms Lin Jingjing, Chairman of the Hakka Research Center expressed that they were very impressed by SCOM’s learning environment and quality of education.
