The course introduces students on fundamental concepts of developing programs and problem-solving skills. Via the discussions on the program design concepts, data types and operators, design and program control, implementation and testing, a comprehensive overview of software modeling and software processes are presented.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. Explain the basic structure and syntax of computer programming


2. Apply programming techniques appropriately and accurately to meet various requirements


3. Translate algorithms into programming models


4. Design, implement and test the programs for solving real-world problems
