This module aims to provide students an opportunity to investigate some common Information Systems and their role in business organizations. It also allows students to analyze the development processes for Information Systems in business organizations.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. analyze common types of Business Information Systems;


2. investigate information technology infrastructure in business organizations;


3. determine the importance of interaction amongst users, developers and managers involved in developing an Information System; and


4. investigate the security, privacy and ethical issues in information systems.
