This module puts the focus on web development through the use of content management system, which allows publishing, editing, and modifying content with a central interface in order to create and customise a dynamic website.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. explain the concepts and technologies of content management systems;


2. setup web-based content management systems such as Joomla, Moodle, Wordpress;


3. plan and create database driven topic-based sites using CMS, CSS-controlled site templates; and


4. manage CMS to instantly and dynamically update web pages and properties as new content becomes available.
