CMT2003 - Digital Videography

This module puts emphasis on the theoretical foundations and practical skills needed to create digital videos for different situations, such as personal and family occasions, special events and TV studio. It allows students to get acquainted with the use of relevant equipment and to go through the essential processes of writing, shooting and editing video production with further exploration of the techniques of directing, sound recording and lighting. Students are to work individually and in teams to learn various aspects of producing a digital video.
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:
- describe the different stages involved in the digital video production process;
- show skilled usage of various functions of a digital video camera;
- demonstrate the understanding of specific lighting techniques as needed to perform video shooting under different conditions; and
- edit digitally captured video to create a specific form of interpretation effectively displaying relevant contents to the target audience.
