Prerequisites:	ACC2021 Hong Kong Business Law or with the Instructor’s permission and upon endorsement of the relevant Chairperson and Programme Director

The module introduces students to the translation practice of business-related legal writings. It strengthens students’ ability to translate contracts, agreements and other types of legal texts and to work efficiently in the bilingual legal context of Hong Kong.

Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

1. describe and compare the linguistic features of bilingual texts in business law;
   
   


2. translate promptly and accurately business contracts and agreements;
   
   


3. translate promptly and accurately meeting documents and reports; and
   
   


4. evaluate and comment critically on translated contractual texts.
