    Module Description
    The module provides translation training to students in the area of business and financial news from various sources. Topics include the linguistic features, conventions and terminology of business and financial writing and translation.
    Learning Outcomes
    Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

    1. produce concise and accurate business and financial news reports in both English and Chinese;


    2. translate promptly and accurately news reporting on financial markets;


    3. translate promptly and accurately financial analysis reporting as news items; and


    4. evaluate and comment critically on a translated news report in business and finance.
