Module Description
This module aims at developing students’ ability to apply mathematical models to business problems. The module will introduce students to common quantitative methods such as linear programming to solve different problems including network problems, scheduling problems, queueing problems and inventory control problems.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. Apply mathematical models to a real life business cases ;

  2. apply quantitative methods to find the mathematical solution of decision-making problems;

  3. interpret the mathematical solution to the business problems; and

  4. apply computer software to solve the problems.
