Module Description
This module is designed to advance our cutting-edge knowledge of leadership theories and concepts, including the impact on followers and the situations. It focuses on the challenges and opportunities faced by leaders and how leader-follower dynamic work to effectively lead a diverse workforce to achieve organizational goals and to transform an organization from good to great. Readings, case studies, lectures, self-assessment, interactive exercises, and class discussions, will be used to stimulate the learning processes. Students will be challenged to integrate knowledge they have gained from other business core modules and apply accumulated knowledge to business case studies and group projects. They will also engage in active research and solve real-life problems related to contemporary issues faced by leaders in today’s environment and will be asked to present their findings to the class for open discussion.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. learn advanced leadership theories, concepts, and skills to broaden insight into leadership issues including impact on followers and the situations;

  2. develop and demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving leadership capabilities in personal and professional situations;

  3. apply the most appropriate concepts of leadership in today's global and rapidly-changing environment; and

  4. engage in active research and in-depth study of real-life problems related to contemporary issues faced by leaders.
