Module Description
This course consists of preparatory assignments in reading, research, information collection, and a written study plan, followed by a five-day residential program outside Hong Kong. Potential locations include the Greater China and countries in Asia. The module is concluded with a written report and an oral presentation.

The goal of taking classroom session in the region is to expose our graduate students to a broader spectrum of issues related to supply chain management. The issues are highlighted through lectures or seminars by professors and supply chain professionals, and visits to company or organisation.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. critically review regional and international practices in supply chain management;

  2. effectively communicate with, and present supply chain issues and solutions to, peers and senior management;

  3. use various supply chain management techniques to analyse issues or problems in practice; and

  4. apply team management skill to facilitate supply chain problem solving.
