Professor Jeanne Ho-Ying Fu earned her PhD from The University of Hong Kong and subsequently joined the Stanford Graduate School of Business as a postdoctoral fellow. She held academic positions at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and City University of Hong Kong before being appointed Full Professor at The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) in 2020. Her research interests focus on how environments influence human behaviour, with a particular fascination for cultural differences.

Since 2018, Professor Fu has taken on progressively senior leadership roles at HSUHK, making significant contributions to academic governance and student development. She began as Programme Director of the BBA-Global Business Management from 2018 to 2020, overseeing programme execution, admissions, quality assurance, student management, and building strong partnerships with industry stakeholders to keep the curriculum relevant and forward-looking.

From 2020 to 2024, she served as Head of the Department of Management, managing admissions, staffing, module deployment, and programme administration. This role demanded strong academic leadership to ensure smooth operations and adherence to quality standards. Simultaneously, she spearheaded the establishment of Hong Kong’s first Honours Academy, serving as its Head from 2020 to 2023. She designed a rigorous learning experience and oversaw the academy’s curricular and co-curricular programmes aimed at nurturing globally minded and socially responsible future leaders.

In 2022, Professor Fu served as Acting Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience) and was appointed to the full role in 2023. She now oversees key units that foster innovative teaching and learning experiences, manage the common core curriculum, provide comprehensive student support, and promote holistic student development, which includes residential education, career planning, entrepreneurial education, and leadership cultivation. In addition, she leads the strategic direction and initiatives for global exchange programs and the development of international partnerships.
