HSUHK signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sunway University (SU) in Malaysia on 14 May 2026 to enhance student learning experiences, academic exchange, and research collaboration between the two institutions. Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research), represented HSUHK at the MoU signing. A leading private university in Malaysia, SU ranked first in the AppliedHE Private University Ranking ASEAN 2026.

Professor Mok also visited the University of Malaya (UM), where HSUHK and UM agreed to co-lead regional studies on Age-Friendly Cities and Wellbeing, focusing on critical social issues across Southeast and East Asia.
