Workshop Series in Applied Statistics – Statistical Theory and Applications

TheDepartment of Mathematics and Statistics held the fourth day of the WorkshopSeries in Applied Statistics on 21 March 2015. The theme of the day was“Statistical Theory and Applications”. The Department invited Dr Gary Tian,Associate Professor, The University of Hong Kong, Professor Stephen Lee,Professor, The University of Hong Kong, and Professor William Li, Professor, Universityof Minnesota, to be the guest speakers of the event. The Acting Dean of Schoolof Decision Sciences of our College, Professor ML Tang, also gave apresentation in the workshop. They presented on their recent research inmissing data, model selection and conjoin analysis respectively. Theparticipants learned up-to-date knowledge in Applied Statistics from theirpresentations.
