‘Glocality’ and Cultural Literacy: HSMC English Enhancement Project 2014-2016

Department of English proudly announces that “‘Glocality’ and Cultural Literacy: HSMC English Enhancement Project 2014-2016” has received a grant from the Quality Enhancement Support Scheme (QESS).

The QESS was first launched by the Education Bureau (EDB) in 2012 to support projects to enhance the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning in the self-financing post-secondary sector.

With the grant, it is hoped that our project could boost our students’ cultural literacy and awareness of “glocal” identity through a proper sense of culture and English, and cultivate our students to be Arts Ambassadors in Hong Kong.

Stay tuned to the many cultural activities (e.g. cultural tours / workshops, etc.) offered by the English Language Centre starting from Sept 2014!
