HKICS Accreditation and Exemptions for BBA (Honours) in Corporate Governance and BBA (Honours) (with Accounting Concentration)


HSMC’s BBA (Honours) in Corporate Governance and BBA (Honours) (with Accounting Concentration) obtained exemption approval from Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS).

 

HKICS’s International Qualifying Scheme covers eight subjects. Candidates successfully completed the Scheme, with relevant work experience, are eligible to apply for HKICS membership and become Associate Chartered Secretaries (ACS). This is a portable global qualification, covering subjects such as corporate governance; corporate administration; corporate secretaryship; company law, accounting, taxation and management.

 

Graduates of BBA (Honours) in Corporate Governance will be granted exemption from four subjects under HKICS’s International Qualifying Scheme (IQS), which are: (i) Strategic and Operations Management, (ii) Hong Kong Financial Accounting, (iii) Hong Kong Taxation and (iv) Hong Kong Corporate Law.

 

Graduates of BBA (Honours) (with Accounting Concentration) will be granted exemption from four subjects under HKICS’s International Qualifying Scheme (IQS), which are: (i) Strategic and Operations Management, (ii) Hong Kong Financial Accounting, (iii) Hong Kong Taxation and (iv) Corporate Financial Management, on condition that the graduates have taken and passed the module FIN3004 Corporate Finance.
