HSMC held Junzi Corporation Survey 2012 Award Presentation Ceremony

 

 

The 2nd Junzi Corporation Survey Award Presentation Ceremony was successfully held on 16 Jan 2013 (Wednesday). The Junzi Corporation Survey is a large scale public survey conducted by professors from the Department of Marketing and Management and students from the Marketing Association. It focuses on the business ethics of corporations based on Confucius virtues and  also reflects the perceptions of Hong Kong public on corporates’ social responsibilities.

 

Based on this year’s survey result, the Committee announced that 18 companies from six different industries were honoured with the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards. Among them, 3 companies, including the CEC International Holdings Limited, Hong Kong Tramways Limited and Cathay Pacific Airways Limited, won the “Ren” “Yi” “Li” “Zhi” “Xin” Junzi awards. At the Ceremony, the committee presented the awards to the representatives from over 10 companies.

 

Professor Gilbert Fong, Acting President of the Hang Seng Management College and Dean of the School of Translation, mentioned that the Survey, initiated by the College, is believed to be able to bring about some positive influence to all Hong Kong companies and the society at large.

 

Dr. Kelvin Wong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors and Junzi Advisory Committee, delivered a speech at the Ceremony. He said: “When I was first engaged in the Junzi Corporation Survey two years ago, I realized the significance of its concept and purpose – to the business world. It should be highly praised and exalted in the Hong Kong society.” Dr. Wong then expressed his gratitude to HSMC professors and students who contributed great efforts to the Survey.

 

The 2012 Junzi Corporation Survey ended with a successful and rewarding ceremony. The Department of Marketing and Management will continue its professional research and provide a best survey to the Hong Kong community.
