Symposia in Data Science – Data Mining and Knowledge Recovery

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics held the fifth day of “Symposia in Data Science” on 20 October 2016. The theme was “Data Mining and Knowledge Recovery”. The Department invited Dr Alan Liew (Associate Professor of School of Information and Communication Technology, Griffith University, Australia) to be the guest speaker. The participants were fascinated to learn how machine learning methodologies are used in computer science.

 

The Symposia in Data Science is fully supported by Research Grant Council of Hong Kong Special Administration Region, China (Project Reference No: UGC/IIDS14/P01/15).
