The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Luanne Lim as Member and Chairman of its Board of Governors, effective 7 January 2026, for a term of three years.  

Ms Lim is currently the Executive Director and Chief Executive of Hang Seng Bank.  The University is confident that with her extensive expertise, wealth of experience and commitment to education, Ms Lim will provide strategic insight and leadership, propelling the University to new heights.

Ms Lim said she was greatly honoured to be appointed Chairman of HSUHK’s Board of Governors. “HSUHK’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and nurturing future leaders resonates strongly with me. I look forward to working closely with the Board, the University community, and our partners to further strengthen HSUHK’s position as a leading institution, and to empower our students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.”

The University also extends its sincere gratitude to Ms Diana Cesar, immediate past chairman of the Board of Governors, for her outstanding leadership and significant contributions throughout her tenure.
