The Amity College held its first High Table Dinner on 23 November 2015.

The Master of Amity College, Dr. Ben Cheng, explained that “樂群” and “Amity” had a meaning of peaceful relationship, harmony and friendship between individuals or groups. Dr Cheng shared the College’s theme “Community Service” and his personal experience in serving the least privileged in society. He highlighted that the objective of the College was to provide community service, leadership development, and social opportunities for students.

President Simon S M Ho shared the topic “Leadership and Community Service” with the participants. He encouraged students to consider using their professional knowledge to serve the community. He also advocated the philosophy of servant leadership that focused on the growth and well-being of people, and pointed out that a servant-leader always puts the needs of others first and help people to develop.
