Mr. FANG received his Master of Buddhist Studies from the University of Hong Kong and MBA from Concordia University Wisconsin, the US. Currently he is a PhD candidate in philosophy (translation studies) of Nanjing University. He used to be the visiting scholar in the department of Philosophy at Fordham University, New York and St. Antony’s College of Oxford University (2019). In 2012 he finished TESOL training at the Department of English of the University of Arizona. He also completed executive education in business management at CEIBS (China Europe International Business School) in 2014. Eric has been the holder of CATTI (China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters) certificate Level-2 since 2004. He also holds the qualifications of Chartered Wealth Manager and Registered Business Analyst of the Global Academy of Finance and Management, the US. As a senior executive administrator of (Beijing) New Oriental Education & Technology Group (NYSE: EDU) for nearly fifteen years, he worked as Principal of Shenyang New Oriental School and Zhuhai New Oriental School (2014-2019), Vice-principal of Xi’an New Oriental School (2011-2013). He served as deputy director of Cultural Education Centre of Hong Kong Po Lin Monastery in 2021 and has been a counselor ever since then. Eric’s passion for language learning and translation studies has driven him to lecture on translation subjects and interpreting practice in different circles. His multi-background education and business experiences contribute to the understanding of translation practice. He is very much delighted to share experience with students before they are recruited into this profession.
