Over 120 HSUHK runners take part in Hong Kong Marathon with full support from University community

18 January 2026

The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) assembled over 120 students, staff, and alumni as the HSUHK Team to take part in the Hong Kong Marathon this year, one of the city’s most prominent annual sporting events. Demonstrating remarkable determination and perseverance, all athletes embraced the spirit of self-challenge and pushed themselves to achieve their best results.

HSUHK’s senior management, including Professor Joshua Mok, Provost and Vice-President (Academic and Research); Professor Jeanne Fu, Vice-President (Learning and Student Experience); Dr Josiah Chan, Vice-President (Organisational Development); Ms Antonia Yeung, Associate Vice-President (Development and Campus Services), joined the excitement on-site to support the HSUHK Team, creating an energised and uplifting atmosphere along the course. HSUHK students rallied behind the HSUHK Team with enthusiastic cheers, fuelling their momentum and embodying the University’s values of unity and solidarity.

HSUHK further supported its runners by setting up a booth at Victoria Park. Professional massage therapists were on site to provide massages for the runners, helping to ease muscle tension after the run. Energy-boosting snacks were also prepared to help runners replenish their strength. This thoughtful and comprehensive support made HSUHK a strong and caring backing for all its athletes.
