To respond to a rapid growth of family offices, the Institute of Knowledge Exchange at HSUHK partnered with the Greater Bay Area Hong Kong and Macau Talents Association to stage the first International Family Office Summit Forum at HSUHK on 12 November 2024.

Officiated by Mr Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, the forum featured keynote speeches from representatives of the Chinese Family Succession Research Centre at HSUHK’s School of Business; the SAAS Data Science Lab at The University of Hong Kong; School of Law at City University of Hong Kong; and the Association of Family Office in Asia. The forum was attended by over 200 practitioners from the banking and insurance sectors in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao to discuss the role and functions of family offices.
